Gold and Ivory Dream Wedding Details

Hey everybody!

Man, oh man... I've got some dream wedding reception details to share today! This fancy gold and ivory wedding is pretty to-die-for, and I've been dying to share it! Alas... the wait is over.


I love the gold accents everywhere. Is it called "silverware" if it's gold? Can I call it "goldware?" haha! How about, gold eating utensils. There ya go.
So, this is what the table settings were like. Gold and ivory was plentiful not just in the eating utensils, but the menu (created by Sincerely Yours), the embroidered cloth napkins, and even the plates and rims of the glasses. Ooh la la!
As I stepped back and looked at the reception, this is what I saw. I love the huge flower arrangements that adorned the tablescapes. Just breathtaking, right?!
Here's a closer shot of the table settings. Again, it's such a classy statement to have this gold and ivory combination, and totally timeless!
Tell me that cake isn't rockin'! How can something be simple and complex at the same time? The gold accents on the cake are so metiulous! Wowabunga. Yeah, I just made up a new word.
This is the vintage, restored Mercedes that was to serve as the bride and groom's getaway car. I wanted to take it home with me, but I'm pretty sure I'd stand out with a car like this.
James Beard nominated chef Miles James prepared the mouth-watering dinner for the guests. Here's a sample of the spread. Dear Benny brides: please use James at the Mill for your wedding if you want a really happy photographer! :)

How cute is this idea?! The bride and groom had some signature drinks on hand with their own corresponding napkins (with recipes!!). Thoughtful, creative, delicious!

As I said before, it was an intimate and private wedding. It was also black tie, which I enjoyed, since I figured out how to tie a bow tie! 2 points for me!
Lastly, speaking of bow ties... Tyler's groomscake was a Razorback (Go Hogs!), but since it was black tie, our little hog needed some formal attire. Done and done!

Okay... how was THAT for a scene-setting blog post?! Tomorrow I'm going to share the story of Chelsea and Tyler's wedding. Yay!
