THE BIG DAY. Every girl dreams about slipping into that perfect gown and walking down the aisle, making heads turn in awe. But as the date draws nearer, often the Bride-To-Be realizes that she has a few extra pounds she wants to lose to fit into her dream dress. I own a fitness company called G-Fit, and I hear this SO MANY TIMES. "Oh my gosh its just happening so fast!" "WHAT? I gained HOW MUCH over the holidays?!?" "HELP ME GABBY! I'm getting married in a MONTH!" Ok. Calm down. You still have a little time. Here are three tips to help you get ready for your big day.

1. Just say "NO" to coke. Carbonated sodas (YES, this includes diet pop), have been proven to increase belly fat, and inhibit the body's ability to lose it. You will also find that drinking water (And LOTS of it), will flush out that extra water weight. You need to be drinking 8-10 glasses of water per day. Your skin will also glow!

2. EAT CLEAN! Veggies are your very best friends. Don't starve yourself! You will only be crankier and turn into bridezilla! Trust me. Eat every 2-3 hours and choose a handful of veggies over carb options. STAY AWAY FROM THOSE 100 CALORIE PACKS. They aren't helping your cravings unless you eat the whole box. Only eat a serving of bread a day. Choose a serving of brown rice, whole grain toast, or even a whole grain tortilla. Do not eat ANYTHING white. White bread, cake, and processed candy and other foods will prevent you from losing the weight you want to lose. Eat fruits, but eat more veggies than fruit. Eat fish and other lean meats. Drinking a high quality protein shake in the morning will also jumpstart your day. G-Fit Body Fuel is my own protein powder that I drink.

3. CARDIO! I know. You hate it. Maybe you love it, but the motivation is just not there. Download the App "0-5k" on your smart phone for free! Its a great place to start and it works with interval training, which is focused on fat burning. There is just no replacement for running. You don't have to be great at it, just do your best! Mix up your routine and try a dance class! Maybe a Barre Amped class! Maybe a month of G-Fit! Whatever you do, get to moving. Don't make the mistake and think you are burning thousands of calories and go eat a massive slice of cake. You aren't going to lose weight that way, although that would be awesome.

There you go! I hope these tips help. The best fitness people in the world can give you amazing advice, but if you don't put that advice into action then you will not see the benefits. Remember, progress not perfection.
