Mandy and Ben's beach wedding at Excellence in Playa Mujeres was to die for. The weather was amazing, the couple was fun and fashionable, and the details were perfect!
Excellence Playa Mujeres is a perfect place for a destination wedding - the service at the resort is amazing and the setting can't be beat! I mean c'mon... gorgeous beach with crystal clear ocean behind you... it was heaven, friends!
So, I was going to save this image for tomorrow, but I had to share. This moon greeted the guests into the couple's reception on the rooftop of one the restaurants at Excellence Playa Mujeres. Are you kidding me? #destinationweddingsarefabulous
I love Mandy for so many reasons (she gave me her RedBull, for starters)... her incredible style made this wedding perfect. This is how you do a destination wedding! (oh, and her sis-in-law designed the necklace! I die!)

She looked beautiful doing the most normal of things. Yep... my job was pretty easy!
For Ben, I thought we'd get a little artsy with his getting ready shot. Believe it or not, I hopped in the shower and pulled the door 1/2way shut for this one. I'm sneaky!
Maybe my favorite series from the day (barely beating out the Michael Jackson magic that'll hit the blog tomorrow), Ben's dad cracked us up all weekend, but knew just when to let his sentimental side show. We get both moments here with the bride as they head down the beach to start the wedding ceremony.
What I love about this ceremony on the beach is that the staff at Excellence didn't fill the background with a bunch of unnecessary distraction. I love that we see a huge blue sky and a gorgeous blue ocean. The focus is clearly on our bride and groom as they say their vows.
If you're planning a beach wedding ceremony (or any ceremony for that matter), pay attention to the light at the time of day you're wanting to be married. Mandy and Ben asked us when we thought the ceremony should take place, and we were able to reward them with warm, sunsetty color during their beach wedding.
