Hey everybody!
Beach weddings are so fun because I LOOOOVE color! Mandy had so many fun splashes of color in her beach wedding and reception at Excellence Playa Mujeres.
And of course... you know me and my love for food... Well, there was plenty of it (Excellence Playa Mujeres is an all-inclusive resort). My tummy was happy. Mandy treated her guests to a great experience!
Excellence Playa Mujeres is such a great venue for a destination wedding!
Here was the rooftop patio - the site for the wedding reception. How amazing are those beams?
Oh yeah... we're supposed to be doing this in chronological order. So, after the amazing beach ceremony (from yesterday's post) we shot some beautiful wedding portraits on the beach. Look at the clear and turquoise water. Oh wait, forget about the water. Look at our super hot couple!
This is more of a casual wedding portrait. Not too posed. Just a sweet moment with the bride and groom (okay, so, I did place them there in that beautiful light... but the rest is them!)
After our portrait session, we went up to the roof to begin the reception. Isn't this sweet candid moment with the bride and groom so presh?!
All the food at Excellence Playa Mujeres is delish (I'm a foodie, and I'm picky!), so it's no surprise that the cake was yum yum.
Sometimes when I shoot, I hit a moment when I'm just super stoked and feel like the luckiest photographer in the world. As the moon shined behind the couple as they wowed everyone with their first dance (they could DANCE!), I had such a moment.
Then everybody joined. The Gills were particularly entertaining.
But this I did not expect... Mandy rocked MJ like no bride I've ever seen. I was floored with her moves, and was a mix of laughter and astonishment behind my lens as I shot these.
Ben's dad, who lovingly referred to me as Pit Bull all weekend (we DO have the same haircut) had a few moves of his own.
