Hey everybody!

I love waking up to the emails like I did this morning. The planner (Danielle at NOLA BASH) for Haven and Michael's wedding at Latrobe's on Royal in New Orleans submitted our wedding images to Carats & Cake and it was selected to be featured. Yay! {I also have some more good news from this wedding coming up soon... stay tuned!}

This wedding was not only one of my top weddings of last year, but actually of all time! The location, Latrobe's, is an absolutely dreamy place for a wedding that to me embodies a NOLA wedding: a cool vibe and unique and gorgeous details in the dreamy downtown of one of the most fun cities in America.

And let me just say a thing of two about the couple, Haven and Michael. Michael is an outgoing, crazy-about-his-bride kind of groom - literally my favorite thing a groom can be on the wedding day! But can you blame him? His bride Haven is so FREAKING stunning! She's fun and beautiful and has a quality about her that makes you feel like her instant best friend. I couldn't be happier these two found each other, and neither can Michael! :)  Here are a few more of their wedding images from Latrobe's. Enjoy!

Hey everybody!

Before I moved to Fayetteville and because a full-time photographer, I taught high school journalism, English, and college photography. One of my very favorite students (who actually may not have been a student of mine, but he sure hung out in my classroom a lot) was Taylor MacFee. He's the sweetest, coolest fellow and he and his girlfriend have been busy! Not only is he the bassist for Never Shout Never, they have opened a specialty grocery store on Dickson here in Fayetteville. I've been stopping in for delicious espressos lately, and grabbing some pantry items from local vendors!

And you know my love of cheese.  They've got the good stuff, y'all!









Head over and grab a beer, a sandwich, a coffee, a breakfast burrito... I mean c'mon! What a gorgeous space and great premium selection!  {{note... they didn't pay me a penny to do this blogpost! they're just awesome people who are doing some good downtown!}}

But not Megan and Mark! They were on from the first frame (I think the very first picture I took is the one below!). He was cracking jokes and she was laughing at them, and I was firing away.  We found some amazing color - Fayetteville is so gorgeous right now!

Saturday was a beautiful day; I spent it at one of Arkansas' most beautiful chapels, Thorncrown for the wedding, and the Crescent Hotel for the reception, with one of the coolest couples. Hey everybody!

I wouldn't say Evan and Bryan's wedding was Old Fashioned, they have a great modern yet classic style. What I WOULD say is that Bryan SERVED Old Fashioneds as his signature drink and totally made my night! Haha! I actually love that drink and to do it on a large scale is difficult, but it was done very well! But don't let me talk about the drinks the whole time, this was a beautiful wedding with remarkable details... succulents a plenty! (and I LOOOOOVE succulents!)





Beautiful, tall, slender arrangements showcased the room without hiding it. I really like that! Two tone green and white centerpieces let the gold accents on the table POP.

This cake was succulent... get it?  Haha! I don't eat wedding cake (or any sweets... did you know that?), but this one looked too good to eat anyway! Simple and beautiful... just like everything on Evan and Bryan's wedding day.

My man loves bourbon (as do I), so I was all about this groom's cake. Best cake Benny Nominee?  Perhaps!


These girls were so fun all day long, and just bursting with personality.  Weddings are fun, y'all!

I love this moment when Bryan's dad was watching him finish getting ready.  You can tell that he is a total sweetie!  I wanted to hug him the first moment I met him. Haha!  But really.

Going to the (Thorncrown) Chapel...

Bryan had a beautiful reaction to seeing his darling bride walk up the aisle to him...

Party party!  Such a fun time was had by the gang (and me) at the Crescent Hotel for Evan and Bryan's wedding. Groove Productions (the DJs who did MY wedding reception) brought a huge party with them (great lighting, perfect song choices) that kept the crowd on the dance floor - literally the ENTIRE night!

I have to hand it to Laura Beth... when she arrived at Autumn Ridge minutes ahead of a giant windstorm, she didn't fret. When shooting, and her veil and hair were blowing all over the place, she didn't fret.  She was calm, sweet, and patient. I of course shoot in crazy situations all the time (I'm a professional) ;) but she was thrown into this situation and was a total champion!

I was his YoungLife leader when we was in high school and have always thought he was the greatest.  And now y'all... he's found the greatest girl. She sooooooo sweet and adores him so much. He's a great guitar player and Ukulele player (both of which I can play!). From the beginning we hit if off well.  That made him comfortable, I'm sure, because his senior portraits look so natural and genuine.

This dress is one of the last that Oscar de la Renta designed before passing away in October - it is so beautiful - truly a masterpiece.

Hey everybody!

So you have seen the gorgeous details and portraits of this amazingly sweet couple, but look at the progression of their perfect day! Laura Beth was the TOTAL opposite of a Bridezilla. Like, y'all, one of the most calm, cool and collected brides I've ever photographed. She was so sweet all day long, (even trekking through the wet golf course in her Manolos and Oscar de la Renta to get the perfect shot!) The church was beautiful with one of the most gorgeous arrangement of flowers I've ever seen. It even had cherry blossoms flown in from Washington D.C.! We love LB and Andy and we were so glad to be apart of their wedding day!



Rachel caught the excitement on LB's face RIGHT before the doors were opened and she walked to meet her groom! Pure joy!


LB and Andy saved their first look for this moment right here. Look at that sweeeeeet smile as he sees his bride in her dress for the FIRST time! Tears!


See that GORGEOUS floral arch?! Goodness!




Just announced as Mr. and Mrs. Matson! YAY!






Then all of her Chi-O sisters sang the Chi-O song together!




Such a fun pom leave! I love all the sparkles!

Hey everybody!

Today is my mom's birthday! I don't know many people my age who are as thankful for their mom as I am.  Some of you know, but my mom drives down from Joplin every single week to spend time with Cece, and to help us stay caught up on life. She's a very giving person... selfless... and though I try to show her (by doing things like cooking her favorite food or taking her on little vacations, etc.) but it never equals how thankful I am, or how much she helps us out. I'm really thankful and appreciative of her!

Hey everybody!

Today is my bestest friends birthday! Life is funny... just a few short months ago (crazy, it seems way longer... like we've been friends for years, or maybe all our lives), Bonnie and I were little work acquaintances - I always had a lot of respect for her talent - then we decided that teaming up on a couple projects would be so fun. We were right! I've spent the last 3 months laughing my head off on a daily basis. This girl has so much energy (and I thought I had a lot of energy!), so much sass, so much talent, so much style, and so much heart. In just a few short months I've watched her grow and mature (not to mention her freaking instagram account blow-the-freak up!). It's so exciting to see someone be inspired like she is... it inspires me!

Bonnie, I think you're great! I'm really thankful for you and our friendship. I'm thankful that you brought me to NYC. I'm thankful that you appreciate my photography skillzzz. I'm thankful that you can always cheer me up. I'm thankful that we work so well together. I'm thankful that you have the same stupid sense of humor. I'm thankful that you and I were quick friends, real friends, and deep friends. You're a treasure!

Here's to 23... it's gonna be the best year yet for Bonnie Beth Argo!
